hello everyone!
finally got "the internet" hooked up here. weird how much you rely on it! if we didn't have daniel... (aka the garmin gps) we would have really been in the stone age. (what's a phone book again?...)
to catch everyone up...
monday, june 23rd:
we packed up the cats in the scion, turned in the apartment keys and hit the open road. day one found us trekking through washington, oregon and ending the evening in idaho. beautiful drive, followed by a lovely evening at la quinta - brad loved it.
tuesday, june 24th:
wyoming. wow. at least the sunset was pretty and the thunder (and us) rolled. we got stuck with the crappiest hotel - we assumed nobody else would be wanting to stay in rock springs, wyoming. we were wrong! book ahead people! p.s. NEVER stay at the 'america's best value motel' in rawlins, wyoming.
wednesday, june 25th:
shorter drive today - finally got our first view of the rockies too! around 3:30 we pulled into the gorgeous city of denver! unloaded the car and did a little happy dance.
